Rochester, New York: March 28, 2009, "Her wings have been received". A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother: surrounded by loving family, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 28, 2009, at the age of 76. Predeceased by parents Ulysses and Zettie Crosby; brothers, Louis, Grant and Sylvester Crosby and life long friend Marietta Dryer. Survived by husband of 60 years James; Children; Linda Nash, Patricia Gaines and James (Rhonda) Gaines; Grandchildren, Shlonda Nash, Lynn (Vincent) Fulmore, Curtis (Takara), Calvin Gaines, Jamel Cato-Gaines (Atlanta, Georgia), Ashya Tyson-Gaines, James (Atlanta, Georgia), Jachelle, Javon (Raleigh, North Carolina), Jaquan, Janae, Jason, Jasmine Gaines and Kadijah Jones; Great-Grandchildren: Sterlin and Donavan Ruther, Joseph and Vanessa Fulmore, Tre'Ahna and Tajir Gaines; Brothers; Clarence (Barbara) (Denver, Colorado.) James (Anderson, South Carolina) and Jeremiah Crosby (North Carolina); A host of in-laws, nieces and nephews. Special friends Jean Leinen, Emily Anderson, Ello Dennis and Mother Martha Banks.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. at the D.M. Williams Funeral Home, 765 Elmgrove Road, Gates. Funeral Services, Thursday, 11:00 am., Restoration Church of God, 595 Frost Avenue. Interment, Grove Place Cemetery, Chili, New York. To share memories and condolences, visit:

To Linda Nash and Family--Words cannot truly express how sorry I am for your loss. Just remember that your mother is in a place of peace and free of pain and suffering.
