Rochester, NY (3/2/2009) Loving father of Jeffrey, Jr. and Gabriela. Also mourned by former spouse Christine Knoblauch of Rochester and her husband, Paul; in-laws Joe and Diana Ventura of Sodus; sisters and brothers in law Karen and Michael Frazier of Winchester, Virginia, Eileen Ventura of Roveta, Italy, and Joe and Donna Ventura of Fairport; stepmother Betty Jo Goff of Sacramento; brothers Thomas Goff IV of Los Angeles and John Goff of Atlanta; and sisters Cynthia Cole of Hazard, KY, Candace Besse of Vale, NC and Martha Goff of Sacramento. Jeff was much loved and will be missed by friends Rob MacGowan, Ferdinand Jay Smith, Jay Porter, Craig McMullen, Tiffany Feaster and numerous other friends and colleagues in the Rochester film and advertising community. He is preceded in death by parents Thomas Jesse Goff III and Cynthia Mae Dolan Hughes Goff. Born 2/18/1954 in Sacramento, California, Jeff also resided in Anaheim, San Francisco and New York City.
Jeff used his formidable creative talents as an internationally recognized director and producer. For 20 years he directed the broadcast coverage at Wimbledon for Home Box Office. He received a number of national and international awards including a National Emmy as director of the 1988 Summer Olympic Games on NBC. He was also an Emmy nominee for his direction of the boxing venue at the Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia.
Jeff was Senior Vice President, Director of Broadcast for Jay Advertising where he was a respected employee for the past 24 years. For all his notoriety and accomplishments, Jeff will be most remembered as a deeply devoted father.
