John DeForest Obituary

DeForest, John C.

Brockport: Passed peacefully Wednesday April 3, 2013. He was predeceased by his parents, Stanley & Edna and brother, Craig. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 46 years, Margaret; son, Stanley (Linda); grandchildren, Nate and Paige; along with several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. John was a retiree of the City of Rochester where he worked as a Land Surveyor after 31 years of service.

Service and Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be directed to Camp Good Days and Special Times, 1332 Pittsford Mendon Road, PO Box 665, Mendon, NY 14506. To share a special memory, please visit:

I worked for many years at Rochester City Hall, and knew John from the Map and Survey Office. He was a smart, and hard worker, and persevered in spite of his painful disease. I will remember him in my prayers.
