Maurice Sullivan Obituary
Ontario/Gouverneur - Entered into rest on March 17, 2018 at age 93. Predeceased by his loving wife of 61 years, Marie Sullivan; brother: Byron "Bud" Sullivan, and sister: Blanche Kish.
Maurice proudly served our country in the United States Army. He was a charter member of the Silas Wainwright VFW Post 6338 and also a member of the American Legion Post 65. He was a humble D-Day Survivor.
Survived by his children: William (Lauren) Sullivan, Ann (Donald) VanDusen and John (Sue) Sullivan; grandchildren: Brittany and Jaymie Sullivan, Becky (Andrew) Sheldon; Robert VanDusen, and Katie (Pete) Sonneville; (5) great grandchildren; brother in law: Carl Helvie; sisters in law: Beatrice Cheeseman and Laura (Ron) Cronk; many extended family members and friends.
Calling hours will be held on March 24, 2018 from 1pm to 4pm at Young Funeral Home, Williamson, NY. Private burial in Bath National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in loving memory of Maurice can be made to the VFW Post 6338 in Gouverneur, NY.

I could not have loved an uncle more than my Uncle Bus. He has always been a hero to me and will remain lovingly in my heart forever. He was always joking and trying to pull a fast one on you. Special love to his family. I will be with all of you in spirit. Love, Betsy Kish and Kish family.

uncle bus was a very big part of my life , as far back as i can remember on the farm , he is the reason i came to Rochester after high school and made my life. my wife Diane liked him at first sight, he was that kind of person, he will be truly missed. Bob& Diane Sullivan
