Ontario - Thursday, January 14, 2021at age 69. Predeceased by his parents, Gerald and Dorothy Cook and brothers, Michael and Robert. Poppy is survived by his wife, Sue Cook; children, Charles (Benjamin) Cook, Suzanne (Joseph) Bellanca, James (Jaclyn) Cook, Kevin (Sara) Cook; step-children, Gary (Tamie) Harrington, Thomas (Deb) Harrington; grandchildren, Maxwell, Allison, Grace, Nicholas, Samantha, Abigail, Andrew, Trevor, Porsha, Carrera; siblings, Mary Newman, Carol Cook, Richard Cook; sisters-in-law, Ida Cook and Barbara Cook;several nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
His family will receive friends Thursday, January 21, 4:00 - 7:00pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.). Services and interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Joyful Rescue, 1319 Turock Dr, Cuba, NY 14727 or to ALS Association Upstate New York Chapter, 135 Old Cove Road, Suite 213, Liverpool, NY 13090. Dear Cook Family. So sorry to hear of Bill’s passing. I knew Bill from his golfing days at Ontario Golf Club. He would call the Pro Shop and asked if it was a good time to come out!! I would have his cart parked near the entrance to the Pro Shop ready to go. He would come in with that infectious smile and ask me “Jim...front nine or back nine”? And off he went! We will miss him.
