PHILOMATH - Brian Dean Cantrell, 63, of Philomath OR, passed away on Wednesday March 13, 2024 from complications due to diabetes. His father Ken Cantrell was by his side.
Brian was born on September 12, 1960 to Kenneth and Myrna Cantrell in Corvallis, OR. A lifelong Willamette Valley resident, he attended school in Corvallis and graduated from Corvallis High School in 1978. Brian greatly enjoyed riding and racing dirt bikes in his youth. He played football at CHS and was on city league basketball and baseball teams. Later his interest shifted to golf, hunting, and fishing.
Brian bought Cantrell Trucking in 2000 when his father retired, and he successfully ran the trucking business until he retired in 2022.
An animal lover, Brian always had dogs by his side.
Preceded in death by his mother, Myrna Cantrell. He is survived by his son, Jacob Cantrell of Philomath; father, Kenneth Cantrell of Corvallis; sister, Marcia Cantrell of Corvallis; nephew, Andrej Opsahl of Corvallis.
At his request, no service will be held.
