BELLVUE, WA - Chris William Affolter, age 75, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, November 12, 2023 in Bellevue, Washington.
Chris was born on April 9, 1948 in Salem, Oregon to Walter W. (BILL) and Glenna E. Affolter. He was raised In Albany with his two sisters, Carey (Collard) and Heidi. Chris graduated from Albany Union High School IN 1966 where he ran track and cross country. He married and had one Daughter, Amy Moore, and two step children, Marsha (Harris) and John Lang.
Chris is remembered for his deep love of the Pacific Northwest outdoors and wildlife. He was an avid fisherman of his local streams, rivers and lakes. He adored the rugged terrain of rural high dessert Oregon. And, spent his happiest moments on backroad adventures with his truck and a camera.
Chris was a devoted sports fan. He'd never miss a game played by his beloved Beavers. He had a passion for collecting and had a sweet sense of humor that his friends and family adored.
Chris is survived by his daughters Amy Moore and Marsha Harris and her husband Mike, his son John Lang and his wife Tali, seven grandchildren: Colton M., Sarah E, Rebecca E, John L, Chase L, Aiden L, Zander L and six great-grand children: Lilliana, Ophelia, Eleanor, Hudson, Ripley and Sven and his sister Carey Collard.
A graveside memorial to remember and honor Chris will be held at the Oretown Cemetery Saturday March 16th followed by a family gathering in Neskowin. I did not know Chris but worked with his dad at Willamette Industries many many years ago. Kind thoughts for his families´ loss.
