Fred Roundtree Obituary

Fred N. Roundtree

Fred N. Rountree, 80, of Frisco, died Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Baylor Heart Hospital in Plano.

Mr. Rountree was born on June 6, 1937 in Quitman, TX to Leo L. and Myrtle (Holt) Rountree. He was a long time resident of Denton and a member of Denton Bible Church. He served his country in the United States Air Force. He was married to Dolly (Hodges) Rountree on March 12, 1966 in Dallas; she died on February 8, 1999 and two sisters that preceded him, Bobbie Joe & Eloise. He later married Martha (Hieber) Hooper on February 14, 2008 in Denton. He worked for many years at Braniff Airlines.

Fred is survived by his wife, Martha Rountree of Frisco and her extended family; daughter, Robin Rountree of Sanger; son, Robert Rountree of Denton, son, Alan Rountree, son, Steve Rountree, fourteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 30, 2017 in the chapel of Denton Bible Church, 2300 E. University Dr., Denton. Rev. Tom Nelson will officiate the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Music Ministry department at Denton Bible Church, 2300 E. University Dr., Denton, TX 76209.
