I can never say enough good about Joyce. I worked with her at DSS. An example of her love was one day I was having surgery and was very nervous. Joyce took a vacation day to go with me and pray over me before my surgery. I loved her dearly. She was beautiful inside and out and ohhhhh how she loved our Lord.

I would like to extend condolence, prayer, and love to Evangelist Joyce Rodgers family, friends, church family, and the Body of Christ. I will miss Evangelist Rodgers, her preaching, praying, and powerful presence. She was so creative and unique in her approach yet so effective. I will miss the cooking with Joyce sessions on facebook- Lol. Evangelist Rodgers was so much fun. Evangelist Rodgers was sooo beautiful and just a woman of grace. A virtuous woman. Her book on fatal distractions opened up my eyes so much more. I will miss the emails from her organization and 5am prayer sessions. What a blessing she was to the Body of Christ- a member we truly needed. Her legacy will live on, and what a powerful legacy it is!

I remember the first time I heard Evangelist Joyce Rodgers minister. She was at the Cathedral Conference Center in Detroit, MI as a speaker to our Northeast Michigan Jurisdiction Worker's Meeting the late, Bishop P.A. Brooks, Prelate in the mid 90's. Her smessage titled was "Let Down Thy Net For A Drought". She ministered under the anointing and the holyghost fell heavily and I have been a fan of her ministry ever since that night. I can mention more times of when I heard Evangelist minister live and in person. She was an original, anointed, geniune and natural type of a woman. She can never be carbon copied. I have cried just like I knew her personally. She meant so much to alot of people especially the younger people. Her minister will live on in our hearts.

We’re the same age and I’m from Longview and moved to Dallas, but we meet back up here at my home church in Houston and Missouri City , Texas. I am deeply saddened by the passing of Evangelist Joyce Rodgers the Supervisor designate of the International Women’s Department. We know that she played a very big part in the ministry industry. she won the race my prayers and thoughts is with the Rogers in the Church Of God In Christ, Inc. family. She was a power-pack preacher. I remember when she gave that amazing sermon at the 112 holy convocation what she preach she said turn up your volume and my favorite thing was she said this is the day that the Lord has made. I am so grateful that’s she empowered to serve in the Youth Department.
