Murray Ricks Obituary
He leaves behind his wife Diane of 40 years, daughters Emma and Jean Marie Ricks, brother Marshall and his wife Donna Ricks, many family members and friends in Denton.
Visitation will be held Monday, October 7, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at DeBerry Funeral Directors.
After 5:00PM on October 7, 2024, come join Diane and his daughters at Oak Street Draft House to raise a toast to our favorite joke teller and leprechaun. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Elks National Foundation.
A special shout out to Solaris Hospice for their special care of my husband!

This is Rick Martin, Murray's cousin, my mother was Odette Ricks. I have been looking for Murray to give him some old pictures of his Dad. Was so sorry the learn of his passing. We met some years ago in Kerrville.

I was greatly blessed by Murray in our youthful years with his infectious laugh and jokes and his fun loving nature, and in our later years as he and Diane let me take care of their trees. I count it a great priviledge to have known Murray. May he rest in peace.

Murray was a fellow hobbyist in the pursuit of
history.
He was a long time member of the 9th Texas Inf, a group of living history enthusiasts dedicated to an authentic portrayal of soldiers of the 19th century during the American Civil War.
Murray was an excellent soldier and his humor
and camaraderie was highly prized by his fellows.
He was much beloved!
I thank the Ricks family for sharing this fine man with us.
