Daniel Steere Obituary
10/2/1938 - 7/15/2012
Born in Memphis, to Dick and Bennett Steere. Graduated from La. Tech, earned an MA in Theology and an Honorary Doctorate in Divinity at SMU, was an ordained minister in the United Methodist Church for 20 years. Moved to Colorado in 1991 and married Nancy. They lived in Woodland Park, then Littleton where he worked at Carter R.E. and Charles Schwab Co. After retiring in 2005, he became a major proponent of the Jefferson County Open Space Park Host Program. He recently produced a series of videos on park amenities for visitors. Survived by his wife Nancy, brother David, daughter Sallie Polk-Steere, sons Dan Jr. and John. Preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jack.
