Elaine P. Nikolov

Born May 4, 1940 in Trinidad, CO. Loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend passed away May 27, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by father, John D. Montoya and beloved husband Dimiter K. Nikolov. She is survived by her children, Tim (Linda) Montoya, Joseph (Teresa) Gutierrez, Angela (Tony) Reed, Rick Gutierrez, Gerald (Carmel) Gutierrez, Lisa (Charles), Ali Montoya and David Montoya. Also survived by her mother Patsy Montoya, brothers and sisters Donald Montoya, Christine Maldonado, Tessy (Cruz) Longoria, James Montoya and Dodi (Pete) Martinez. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many nephews, nieces and cousins. Elaine was a loving mother who worked hard, sometimes two jobs at a time, to provide a good life for her children when they were young. She managed rental property, Mexican food restaurants and worked as a seamstress. She retired from Renaissance Hotels and Resorts where she was employed as a Supervisor of Housekeeping and Hospitality for 20 years. Visitation and Rosary: Monday, June 6, 5-7 p.m. at Advantage Aurora Chase Chapel, 1095 Havana St., Aurora. Funeral Mass: Tuesday, June 7, 10:00 a.m. at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 13120 E. Kentucky Ave., Aurora 80012. Interment to follow at Fairmount Cemetery, Denver.
