Hubert was the first man that I met when I moved to Alaska. My wife and I were taken into their family as one of their own. We had many adventures with them. When I took a teaching position in Bush Alaska, he flew us out to the remote village for a day trip. Much more to it, but yes it did turn into an amazing trip. We survived, with stories to tell. When we got together we always had lobster and steak. A tradition that has not been shared with anyone else. We visited with his family quite often when they moved to Kenai. Fishing on the George River. The Kenai. I have not formed a relation with a man like Hubert. Was truly heartbroken when they moved from Alaska. Always in my heart...
