I worked with John and will always have good memories of him. We lost touch after the company closed but I always knew he would do well. While we cannot attend the services, your family will be in our thoughts.

I was deeply saddened to hear of John's death. He was intelligent and articulate, with a solid knowledge of prepress issues. He was also witty and a great punster.

Like many others who have posted, I only knew John through various online forums. Online friendships are oddly enduring. In one sense, we don't really "know" each other at all, at least in terms of our physical identities. In another sense, however, I count many of my online acquaintences among my best friends, even though we wouldn't recognize each other in person. Besides being a respected authority in the various Adobe product forums, John was a regular in the Photoshop Lounge. Lounge regulars, who have adopted the moniker of "Pandas," are a close-knit community of graphics professionals who gather there for off-topic comaraderie. John was one of the "good guys," and his death has touched all of us.

I extend my deepest condolences to his friends and family.

My sincere condolences to John's family and friends, and a deeply felt thanks for posting notices of his passing in the Adobe Forums. That was very thoughtful, especially during a time when you had so much to attend to in your own grief. John's knowledge, wit, good humor and patience will live on in everyone he came in contact with.

Namaste, John.

John's passing leaves a big hole for those of us who participated with him in graphic arts forums. Not nearly as big as the one his family feels, but nevertheless, he will be missed.

May he rest in peace.
