I only met Ken a very short 3 years ago yet he made me feel as though I had known him all my life. He had made an indelible impression on me. I had the joy of getting to know him, his family and his life and my only regret is simply that I didn't have more time with him, a lot more time actually... rest well our gentle giant...you will be painfully missed. Ken and I met when he in the restaurant business almost 40 years ago and I was a salesman with Kraft Foods. We became friends instantly.

Later, when he was owner of KD Services we also were affiliated in the food service industry.

Ken, a friend Jack, and I always tried to get together on St. Patrick's Day for corn beef and cabbage and a few beers. We never left the restaurant without having blueberry pie and ice cream.

Ken was truly of of the "good guys" - they don't come any better then him. He was always there for his friends.

Those of us fortunate to know Kenny, will surely miss him, but never forget him.

My Father Ken was a kind, loving, gentle giant. He was a big man with a big heart, and he loved life. He was a huggable, jolly fellow who always kept people laughing, no matter how he was feeling, even during the very difficult, final weeks and days of his life. He was always warm, friendly and upbeat, and treated people very genuinely.

My Dad was a very accomplished man: A loving husband to his wife Carol Ann for nearly a decade, a loving husband for the better part of 34 years to my Mother Darlene, a loving Father to my sister Julie and myself, a loving step-father to Ken & Colleen, a loving Grandpa to his grandchildren Evan & Casey and step-grandchildren Robert and Kelly, and a loving nephew to his Aunt Anne Vosika in Lincoln. He had many friends, and his love & care for all of them was genuine. He was very active in his Church at Cherry Creek Presbyterian, and very devout in his faith.

He was an MP and Corporal in the Army Reserves, a talented musician at both piano and trumpet, and played in many bands. He was a fraternity brother at Sigma Chi at the University of Nebraska, a Mason, a little-league basketball coach, a model for a talent agency, and an entrepenuer and business owner. He loved baseball, and especially the Colorado Rockies. He was a huge Denver Broncos fan, and had season tickets for many years. And he was a beloved Nebraska Cornhusker fan. Him and I watched many games together, and I embraced them all. He loved THE BIG RED, and played trumpet in their marching band while attending the University of Nebraska.

I was so very fortunate to spend his last afternoon with him, and to share his last supper together. When I left his bedside later that evening, he was warm, comfortable and resting. My Dad passed away later that morning in his sleep, very peaceful and quite divinely. He is with God and the rest of his family now, suffering no more.

There are many things I learned from my Father. Most of which is to be kind and loving and genuine with all people. It is nice to be important, but it is more important to be nice. His genuine, good-hearted spirit will always be first and foremost in my mind.

I will miss my Father tremendously.
Heaven holds the dearly departed.

God Bless my Father and all who knew him,
Mark Alan Vosika
