MacKenzie Forrest Obituary

Mackenzie Anne Forrest cherished daughter of Denise and Holger Forrest and loving sister of Gavin. Devoted granddaughter of Lynn and Gary Giesler and Barbara and Ian Forrest. Respected and adored cousin, loyal friend, and inspired teammate. Mackenzie's smile was a bright light to all she touched. She was taken from us much too soon and she will be dearly missed. Services will be held Thursday, March 17th, 2:00 PM at Christ on the Mountain Catholic Church, 13922 West Utah Avenue, Lakewood. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in MacKenzie's honor to the "Lil Mac" scholarship fund at www.macforrest33.com.

We are deeply saddened for the loss of your amazing daughter & big sister. May God keep you all in His arms as you make your way through this unimaginable grief. In your darkest moments, hold on to each other & remember how she would want you to grieve, but find strength to continue living life fully in her honor. Mackenzie's spirit shines on with all of the incredible tributes. Even in death, she touched many. How lucky you were to have each other in your lives! Never far from our thoughts and prayers...

Denise - your Theta sisters have gathered in masses to hug & hold each other while we pray with you and for you. We're here to hold you and our hearts are broken knowing the pain you're enduring. We pray God gives you strength and peace; and on the days you cant find that, we're here to cry with you.

My heart aches for Lil Mac's mom, dad, brother, and her many friends and admirers. My son, Alex "Bacon" Plummer has known Mac since he was a little guy at Devinny, through Creighton, and then LHS. She was in gym with him and he says he will miss how she would bounce the basketball off him and tease him because football was his game. May God Bless your family during this difficult time. Our deepest condolences.

Dear Forrest family-

We are thinking of you, and hold you up in prayer for strength and some sort of peace. May Mackenzie's spirit live on in you, and in those who loved her.

I saw this quote and thought of her-

Author unknown
An angel in the Book of Life wrote down my baby's birth.
And whispered as she closed the book, "Too beautiful for earth."

With love,
Lisa, Rob, Jordan and Claire

Dear Denise and Family,
I can't imagine your pain and grief. I can only send my sincere and deepest sorrow for this tragic loss of Mackenzie. I am so very sorry and will keep all of you in my prayers and loving thoughts. May you find some peace and comfort from those who love you as you go forward day by day.

Dear Holger and Denise and Gavin,

Please accept my most sincere condolences in the horrible loss of your beautiful daughter. My daughter Patty Vok Copps told me the news. I have a hard time believing it. Such a lovely child should still be in your midst, laughing and teasing her brother. It has been a long while since we have seen each other but always remember you.
I will keep your family in my thoughts and even though I have no first hand knowledge of losing a child I know from losing my parents and some close friends that the pain diminishes somewhat in time but I also know it never goes away. You must keep each other close and love each other all of the time.I'm sorry to have such a sad occasion to remind you of a long past acquaintance.
