To the Thorn family, our heartfelt sympathy. We recall countless hours in the company of Bill and his family - at the station and at home. It was very touching to see Bill and Joyce at our father's memorial to share stories. We hope you find comfort in the company of your friends and family. With fondness... Bill was a relatively short man. He was, however a man with a huge heart. During our many years together at KRMA he was always most gracious. As director of public information, his efforts to promote our broadcasts was honest and sincere. I'm confident the individuals at newspapers appreciated his candor. And, as a person who was seen on the air, I can attest to his never ending efforts to present an accurate summary of what we were doing.
Joyce was a wonderful influence. Oh, I'm short also.

I was so sorry to learn of Bill's passing. I worked with Bill at KRMA-TV from 1981-1992 while I was Director of Programming and Production for the station. Bill and I worked closely together and I always appreciated his professionalism and good humor. He will be missed.
