Bennetta Wixom Obituary
BURLEY-Bennetta Norton Wixom, age 82, of Vista, California, formerly of Burley, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at her home.
Bennetta was born on Aug. 5, 1930, in Shelley, Idaho, to Henry Lorenzo and Lavinia Hurst Norton. In 1950, she married David Clyde Wixom, and they had six children, Elna (Jim) Katherman, Susan (Tom) Collins, Lynda Kaye (Jeff) Kelly, David (Margine) Wixom, Clyde (Serena) Wixom and Colleen (Jess) Martinez. She touched the lives of countless others including, Linda Disney, Linda and Jeran Bingham and Larry and Claudia Gassin, and their families whom she counted as her own.
With her husband, David Clyde Wixom, they served three LDS Church missions. They served in the Oakland, California, Laotian Mission, the Corsicana, Texas Mission and the Kooba Station, Austrailia Mission.
She is survived by her husband; her children; 50 grandchildren; and 69 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Burley West LDS Stake Center, 2420 Parke Ave., in Burley, where friends and family may call from noon until 1:45 p.m. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Rasmussen Funeral Home of Burley.

Hi Wixoms. It was so nice to be with you yesterday at the funeral and hear so many wonderful things about Bannetta. Her example truly makes me want to be more Christlike. My one wish is that we could have had one on one time with each one of you. I thank my Heavenly Father for the influence for good you and your family have had on me. We may never know how we influence others, but let me tell you, each of you have had a positive impact on my life through the years, and I am the better for it. Thanks so much and love to all.
