Millcreek, UT-Richard Warner Poole, 64, passed away on October 3, 2024 at the Saint Marks Hospital, Millcreek Utah. He was born on November 14, 1959 in Hamilton, New Zealand to Glen Arvel Horspool and Audrey Colleen Davidson.

Richard moved to Hawaii when he was 3 years old, then to Reseda and La Mirada in California, then to Orem, Utah when he was 7 years old. At 14 he moved back to California, where he graduated from Antelope Valley High School in Lancaster, and first started playing guitar. Richard had 2 children with his first wife, Judy, who were later adopted by her second husband. He got in touch again with Bethany as an adult, who also lives in Utah, and through her he contacted Christopher. Richard married his second wife, Missi Armstrong, some years later and adopted her 4 children: Doug, Matthew, Daniel and Mariah. Mariah stayed in contact until his death. Richard was active in the LDS church. He loved to play music and was an avid guitar player, wrote and performed his own songs, and had several performing groups, the latest called Richard Poole and the MadHats. He worked in the residential construction business for many years. His favorite hobbies were painting, hiking, birding, and family gatherings.

Richard is survived by his children: Christopher, Bethany, Douglas, Daniel and Mariah.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Glen Arvel Horspool and Audrey Colleen Davidson, and his brother Archie Kent Horspool.

Service will be held on Saturday, October 12th at 1PM at the LDS Church, North Building 951 E 3825 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84106.
