Saddened to hear of this news. Ron is one of my biggest influences in my technical skillset and career. I wanted to reach back and say thank you.

"Yay though i walk through the valley of the shadow of death I shall fear no evil...." - From a funny black-light poster on the wall of Ron's bedroom growing up.

It took me over two years to learn of Ron's passing but I wanted to add how grateful I am for the childhood and teen-years memories. Ron found his perfect match with Carol and through his example, he taught me to save the best for the ones you love. His incredible talents will always be appreciated.

Being there at Ron's funeral brought back so many wonderful memories. I am a product of Ron's amazing YM leadership. Listening to Bert talk about the backpacking trip up to Squaw Lake in the Uinta's reminded me of what a fun trip that was along with all the other backpacking, biking and camp trips that helped my youth experiences to be absolutely incredible. I will never forgot our bike ride from Pineview to Bear Lake. As a youth leader myself now we are encouraged to get the YM out of their comfort zone and challenge them which is exactly what he did for us. He was the epitome of what a leader should be and I will be forever grateful to him for the way he challenged, encouraged and helped me to become the person I am.

Thank you Ron for everything and to you Carol for being so supportive and willing when he took time away from home to spend time with us young men.

Until we meet again,
Kris Aubrey

You guys took me into your home when I was a young girl and have been among the dearest friends I've ever been blessed with. I remember and cherish the laughs with you and Ron and your family. I have a tender memory of Ron getting up in the middle of the night when I was extremely sick with a migraine and being as tender as if I were his daughter. My prayers of comfort go out to you as well as my thanks and love.

Carol and Sandstrom Family,
What great friends you are to us and literally hundreds of others. The compassion, strong spiritual feelings, warm smiles, genuine laughter, and accepting hugs we have shared cause us to look forward to exactly more of the same in the next life. Until then Carol, may the Spirit comfort you and your family with necessary peace.

To the Sandstroms: What a blessed loss. I never failed to grow whenever I was with Ron. He was a great inspiration to me whenever we shared assignments or just socializing. I will miss being around him, but am looking forward to the time when we are not bound so tightly to these mortal bodies. What a glorious time that will be. My condolences to the family and especially to you Carol, You've endured so much. But as we are counseled, "For after much tribulation come the blessings." After all, death is just a part of life.

Dear Carol and Family
We loved Ron and especially remember our long home teaching visits. They would sometimes last for hours and he would be playing the piano before he left. He would make up funny songs he wanted to share with us. Carol you would have to call and see if Ron was still at our house. We still laugh about it. We were always strengthened and inspired and know how patient you were with his love for people.
You are in our thoughts and prayers and we know it will be a great loss. His was a life well lived.

Dear Carol and Family,
My heart is with you in your time of loss. Ron was a great guy. I have many fond memories of him. I enjoyed Ron as the Gospel Doctrine teacher. I remember him playing the part of the Blue's Brothers at a ward party. He was incredible. I enjoyed helping him as the employment specialist. He taught me that he started his job search at the temple. I loved hearing his and Carol's strong testimony after the cancer. He will be sorely missed. Love,
