Sam's legacy will always remain. I will never forget his last bear hug I received from him at Kelly Carman's funeral a year 1/2 ago almost 2 yrs ago. I also, of course will never forget his adorable smile. I first met Sam when he was just a youngin around 13-14 yrs of age. He went to Wasatch Jr. High w/ my best friends sister Aimee White; I happened to be living w the Whites that year of my high school. So, lots of Aimee's friends would be over hangin out

I am so sad to hear of Sam's passing. Some of my best memories of childhood are from spending time with Sam hiking, skiing, snowboarding, swimming, playing sports and camping at Lake Powell. Sam and I would laugh for hours at a time until our faces and sides hurt. He was a funny guy and when i was feeling down, he could always cheer me up. His smile alone could cheer anyone up. In recent years Sam and I reconnected and would periodically talk on the phone. He was always positive and encouraging and I am grateful for his support. I enjoyed seeing his many adventures on Facebook and Instagram. Sam was a very unique individual and touched the lives of many. He will be missed. My heart goes out to the Lewis family and to his wife.

what a glorious smile! it lit up the entire chapel. The story is not over, Sam. My sincerest sympathy to Anna in her loss of her companion, the very-much animated Sam. The ward will miss him and I am glad I met him.
