Bryce Holland Obituary
Altoona
Bryce John Holland, 21, was born March 13, 1992 in Des Moines, the son of Mike and Sandi Holland. He passed away Thursday, September 19, 2013.
Bryce is survived by his parents, Mike and Sandi Holland; brothers, Cutler Holland and Trevor (Macy) Holland; sister, Breanna Holland; nieces, Adalynne and Berkley Holland; grandparents, Gerald and Rosemary Holland and Joel and Myrna Heifner; cousin, Spiros Zougras; aunts and uncles, Greg (Tracy) Holland, Mary (Jerry) Nybakken and Anne (Jeff) Townsend; cousins, DeLaney, Walker, Jacob, Andrew, Audrey, Blane and Sydney; other loving relatives and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his aunt and uncle, Shari and Pete Zougras.
The family will greet friends from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, September 22, 2013 at SS. John and Paul Catholic Church, 1401 1st Ave. S in Altoona. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 23, 2013 at the church with burial to follow at Glendale Cemetery. I know you probably don't remember me, but I am your Aunt Joan Easley Thomson, Dick's sister. So sad to hear of your loss. How heart breaking to lose a son at age 21. We lost one of our sons a year ago, but he was 50 and left us 3 beautiful granddaughters to love. I know your heart is broken and the journey has not been easy. Wish I had magic words to make it all go away. As your second cousin, Beverly Condit Lehman told me, "You just take one step at a time and move forward." Bev lost a son and a grandson within 2 years. You are a member of the club no one wants to be in, those who have lost a child. So sad for you, Aunt Joan

To Bryce's Family:
Bryce was a student in my Biology class at DMACC. He was a really enjoyable addition to my class and I am beyond saddened that such a personable young man is gone from our midst. Please accept my sincerest condolences on the loss of your son. I know I speak for others at DMACC that we will remember Bryce fondly. I will keep you and Bryce in my prayers.
