I have known Ashley since she began at CSHS and have held her dear to my heart. Always cheerful, positive and praying for others....that is who she was. After my kids' father was diagnosed with cancer a couple of years ago, she automatically told me to have them talk to her because she understood what they were going through. She has gotten her wings and although she will be greatly missed, she is now resting in peace....Love you my little spitfire friend.-Rhea A.

Mira. Hobbs was my son's freshman English teacher at A & M Consolidated High School in 2011 to 2012. He loved being in her class because she was so very kind, patient, and caring. I am grateful for the time she spent helping him with creative writing and improving his reading. I am deeply saddened to learn this news. Prayers for her family.

Michael, I am grieving alone, not able to make the visitation or funeral. I often texted Ashley: Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you--plans to prosper you, not to harm you, plans for hope and a future." So now, Michael, I pass this encouragement on to you. God has a plan.

Dear Michael and family. You don't know me. I was blessed to have been Ms Sybil's pastor for 21 years. Thru her I feel as if I've known Ashley and many of you. Through her we have hurt and rejoiced with all of you in the initial diagnosis, set backs, as well as victories in Ashley's life (graduation, marriage, teaching, as well as victories at various stages of her illness). And we have PRAYED without ceasing. Today, Heaven rejoices because God in his Love and mercy, has chosen to call Ashley home to her eternal reward. She fought "the good fight and she has kept the faith." She is healed. She will never know what it is to be sick or to hurt (physically or emotionally) again. That does help, but I know your loss and hurt run deep. Know that your Heavenly Father loves you and has His arms wrapped around you this day and will continue to do so. He WILL guide you thru your dark valley and grant peace that passes all understanding. I wish we could be there for all of you especially our dear friend, Granna Syb. We love y'all and continue to bathe you all in prayer. God bless.

Ashley started her chemo treatments while my mother was still taking hers. Everyone felt sad that such a young person had to be there, but she lit up the room when she came in. Even though she was ill, she was still a bright spot in our day. Go with God, Ashley.

The College Station SPED community has lost a bright, shining star. Ashley's passion for "her kids" was contagious and everyone around her benefited from her enthusiastic teaching method. We will miss her vibrant approach to life and sweet smile. Rest in peace, dear Ashley.

You go forth now... And while the flame that burned brightly within you here on Earth has gone out; the inferno that was kindled within your soul as you departed this world, has just begun to burn. I did not know you, but I did not need to- your sister spoke of your courage and bravery, and that is the only endorsement anyone could ever need.
Condolences to the family of this sweet girl, and especially to her unyielding sister, Tisa-

It is my misfortune never to have met you, precious child. You were much too young to pass into Gods' hands, however your love of humanity will always be in my memory. May your family and beloved friends find peace.

Ashley was my sorority sister in Phi Lamb and neighbor at "The Zone" in College Station. Because of her amazing spirit and outward beauty a guy named Drew liked her and wanted to date her. While it obviously didn't work out between them, because of this series of events, I met and got to know this guy named Drew...who is now my husband. I've always been so thankful that in this round about way, Ashley is the reason I found my husband. The world is truly a poorer place today without her.

We are friends of the Hobbs family and know just how much she is loved. Ashley was always a breath of fresh air, with a great sense of humor and such a love for the Lord. Her spirit and strength will always be remembered by us. She loved being a part of the Hobbs family and was welcomed like a third daughter. We are lifting up prayers for Michael, Ashley's family and the Hobbs'.

What a sweet and beautiful little girl Ashley was. I have wonderful memories of our camping trips when all the kids were young. I think my John is showing her around heaven right now! They know all the mysteries now and are happy and healthy. My heartfelt sympathy is with your family. With Love, Toni
