Charles Polser Obituary

Charles Fred Polser NEW BRAUNFELS -- Charles Fred Polser, 76, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2018. SERVICE: No service will be held. MEMORIALS: Any memorials should be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America. Fred was born to Bea and Buck Polser on Dec. 22, 1941, in McKinney, Texas. He grew up in the Riverside area of Fort Worth where he attended and graduated from Carter-Riverside High School in 1960. During his senior year, Fred was named Little All American and invited to play in the Texas North-South football game. He then attended the University of Houston and East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas, where he was drafted to the San Francisco 49ers during his junior year. He also played semi-pro football with the Fort Worth Braves for several years. Later in his life he retired to New Braunfels, Texas, where he lived until his death. Fred was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Rita Winters; and his beloved twin, Ted Polser. SURVIVORS: He is survived by his children, Leigh Ann Polser of Kerrville, Texas, and Jason Polser of Canyon Lake, Texas.

Ted & Fred being identical twins, were living legends to FWISD athletes in 1958, 59 and 60! Everyone knew who they were...huge compared to most guys!
They were fun and crazy teenagers! Fond memories.
