Entombment: Greenwood Mausoleum. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Greenwood. Floyd was born Feb. 29, 1924. He had resided in the Fort Worth area all his life. Following graduation from Fort Worth's Technical High School, he entered service in 1942 with the U.S. Navy Air Corps and was honorably discharged in 1946. From 1947 through 1953, Jr. worked two jobs simultaneously. He worked eight hours daily for the Rock Island Railroad and eight hours nightly running a lathe at Helm Manufacturing Co., both jobs located in Fort Worth. From 1961 forward, he owned a total of 68 nightclubs throughout the United States. From 1975 through 1979, he entered the investment sector and added a Dallas and Houston shopping center, Midland and Elk City, Okla., motels, commercial buildings in Fort Worth and Euless, and a ranch in Stephenville. From 1979 through 1985, the oil and gas business captured Jr.'s attention. In 1985, Jr. turned his attention towards his idea for his own manufacturing business, Centramatic Wheel Balancers, which he operated until April 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Gertrude Allred; wife, Ailene Allred; brothers, Leslie Allred and Herb Allred; and grandson, Courtney Harris. Survivors: Wife, Nelda Allred; daughter, Tammy Harris and husband, Chris Sr.; son, Toby Allred and wife, Tooter; grandchildren, Carissa Bryant, Cody Allred, Coby Allred, Toby Allred, Todd McLeroy, Chris Harris Jr., Don "Buzzy" Harris, Justin Harris, Heather Heftler; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Aubrey Allred Sr.; sister, Lawana Mauldin; several nieces and nephews; stepsons, Keith Day and wife, Debbie, Craig Day and wife, Tammy, and Todd Day; several stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many friends.

I think about Jr. a lot because he really helped me get through a difficult time in my life and I will never forget it or him. I worked for him for almost 10 years in the 70's. He was truly a nice person and almost too generous at times. I wish I could've seen him before he passed and thanked him and given him a hug!

Jr. was one of the sweetest kindest men that I've ever known. He was like a father, brother, boss and friend to me especially in my time of need and sorrow. I'm not sure how I would've made it through some years without his help. I miss him and think of him often.
