Wonderful memories flying with Grady.
August 23, 2011
Our family had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Trantham in Glen Rose, Tx. We owned the land adjacent to the theirs. We also spent many wonderful weekends on the farm mostly hiking and fishing bringing the dogs with us as well.
Was so sorry to hear of your loss. We also lost our Dad this year on May 29th. Came across your dad's name on some papers we had kept about the sale of the land and wondered if I could find him on the internet.
Our condolences to your family. We had beautiful times on that farm too.

Always such a great pleasure to fly with Grady. We young co-pilots learned a lot about airline flying from Grady. His christian values were always such an inspiration. We will miss you Grady.

Grady was one of the first Captains that I flew with as copilot on American Airlines in 1953. He flew a good trip, he was always a gentleman, and he was a real pleasure to fly with.

Weldon and Bubba lived across the street from my family throughout my childhood. Spending time with him and his family at their ranch in Glen Rose was the highlight of many summers. He was a great man and will forever be missed.

Grady, The best of the best. First instructor and mentor to so many of us, American Airlines, "New hires," in the 1960's. We all admired him so much. Ike Reel
