Guadalupe Ortiz Obituary
Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at St. Thomas Catholic Church. Rosary: 6 p.m. Thursday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home.
Lupe was born Oct. 1, 1917, in San Antonio to Cleofas and Theodore Govea. Mom will always be remembered as a very giving, caring and strong, thoughtful woman. She so very much loved all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always giving her blessings and always wanting to give to others. She had the biggest heart, never wanting to keep for herself.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Vitas Hospice and Cityview Care Center for their special care.
Lupe was preceded in death by her husband, Jose V. Ortiz; son, Joe Ortiz Jr.; grandson, Andrew Lemoine; and granddaughter, Lina Martinez-Ozuna.
Survivors: Daughters, Susie Lemoine, Mary Martinez and husband, George, and Hope Alvarado and husband, Michael; sons, Richard Ortiz and wife, Dora, Jesse Ortiz and wife, Lydia, and Ruben Ortiz and wife, Diane; sisters, Cleo Reyna and Lucy Aguilera, both of Fort Worth; sister-in-law, Consuelo Ortiz of Seguin; 17 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.

For all my cousin i sent you my condolences and prayers at this difficult time. May the Lord comfort each one of you and give you all peace. For Tia Lupe was a great aunt i myself will miss her but i have wonderful memories of tia that will live with me for ever as well as for every one that knew her.
