James Bargsley Obituary

James H. Bargsley, 83, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 11, 2005, in Fort Worth.

Funeral: 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Springtown. Burial: Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger. Visitation: 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at White's Funeral Home.

James Bargsley was born July 7, 1921, to James and Geneva Bargsley in LaCasa. He was a longtime resident of Fort Worth and Springtown. James was an avid football fan, hunter, fisherman, gardener and an avid coin collector. He was a very loving husband, father and grandfather. James was a World War II decorated veteran. He was a scout for his unit and a renowned marksman. James had loved the Lord since he was 10 years old.

Survivors: Wife, Mary Bargsley of Springtown; daughters, Margaret Fendley and husband, Bobby, of Azle, Ellie Dittmar and husband, Nolan, of Arlington and Jennifer Bertholf and husband, Joe, of Fort Worth; son, Trevor S. Curtis of Springtown; brother, Coy Bargsley and wife, Faye, of Ranger; sisters, Ruby Leonard and husband, Gil, of Abilene, Betty Howton of Weatherford and Delma Cantwell and husband, Willie, of Ranger; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
