Funeral: 1 p.m. Wednesday, Wiley Funeral Home Chapel. Burial: Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. Visitation: 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Wann was born Dec. 28, 1920, in Waxahachie to A.R. "Jack" and Maude Wann. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Wann worked for 20 years as a toy manufacturer's representative.
After retirement Mr. Wann moved to Granbury and became an area fishing guide. He helped organize several fishing tournaments. Mr. Wann wrote a weekly column, "Fun Fish 'n Texas" for the Shopping Spot. He had written several articles for Texas Outdoor Sports News, and the magazine, Texas Fish and Game.
Mr. Wann was a member of the Texas Writers Association, the Granbury Chamber of Commerce and an Angler's Choice representative for tournaments.
Mr. Wann was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His greatest loves were children, fishing and the great outdoors. He loved teaching the children to fish. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Maude Wann.
Survivors: Wife of 65 years, Burdene "Deanie" Wann of Granbury; children, Larry and Carolina Wann of Colleyville, Judy and Jerry Starnes of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Amy Reader of Fort Worth, John Starnes of Fort Worth, Tony Wann of Dallas, Alex Wann of Colleyville and Andrew Wann of Colleyville; great-grandchildren, Parker Bowman, Jack Ryan Bowman, Kaitlin Starnes.

Steve and I offer our sincere sympathies to all the Wann Family. Especailly to Judy and Jerry Starnes in the loss of Judy's beloved Father. Sorry we did not hear of the loss sooner , and if there is anything we can do let us know. From your faithful one time neighbors.

My most sincere sympathies to the Wann family. I first met Jim when I was a kid, and he visited my father's upholstery shop. He was a very decent and good hearted man. It was a real privledge to know Jim.

just wanted to send condolences from the entire Daggs family including my Father Wilson whom is in a nursing home, Jim went to see my father 2 years ago and it meant the world to him. I remember Jim fishing with my brother and I when we were kids, now i try to pass the same skills to my young son. Jim was a true inspiration to my entire family. God Bless!!
