Jordan Peek Obituary

Jordan M. Peek SOUTHLAKE--Jordan M. Peek was born March 5, 1983, in Snellville, Ga., and passed away Monday, Nov. 5, 2018, in Grapevine. Jordan lived in Georgia, Colorado California, and Indiana, before moving to Southlake, Texas, in 1993 at age 10. Jordan's passions were art and travel, and he developed a deep love for Europe as a teenager. Jordan enrolled in TCU in 2001, and became an active member in Phi Gamma Delta. He studied for several months in Florence, Italy, at the Lorenzo de' Medici Institute, where he was chosen to work directly in the archives of works by some of the greatest artists in history. Jordan continued his travels while in college and graduated from TCU in 2005 with a degree in Fine Arts. Jordan accepted a job in Reading, England, in 2006 and soon was promoted and transferred to London, where he worked in Canary Wharf and lived near Tower Bridge. While living in Europe, Jordan was able to travel extensively in many countries and became quite the expert on exploring the local areas and unique places. After recuperating from surgery due to a back injury, he decided to move back to Texas in 2011, where he continued work in financial marketing and spent his free time traveling, both domestically and abroad. In 2014, while traveling in Eastern Europe, he contracted a serious virus and has suffered many medical difficulties since. Even with his medical conditions, Jordan maintained his zest for life and travel and was able to enjoy many great adventures. During his brief life, Jordan traveled through 30 states and over 20 countries. His great love of travel never waned. He spent several weeks just recently exploring Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Tennessee and Kentucky. Jordan attended the TCU football game on Saturday, Nov. 3, and then spent the evening with his parents watching TV and talking. Early Sunday, Nov. 4, while sleeping, he suffered an episode, which left him non-responsive, and he was pronounced deceased on Nov. 5. Jordan had spoken often of donating organs, and in death, he continued his kindness and self-less journey by donating life saving organs to four very fortunate individuals, plus many other tissues. If you wish, donations may be directed in his honor to LifeGift.org, or the charity of your choice. SURVIVORS: Jordan is survived by his parents, Sherman and Sharon Peek of Keller, Texas; and his best friend and loving sister, Emily Peek of Dallas, Texas. MEMORIAL SERVICE: 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, in Grace Chapel at White's Chapel United Methodist Church, Southlake, Texas.

I have post
Lost stop many at a younger age. We were pretty close and I enjoyed meeting for coffee and the time you showed me the jeep before some trail you and your extremely bekoved dad were going to soon. That day u pikt me up and drove me home and i remember going through a checklist in my head of maintenance like a nerd. Lately you have been coming to my mind frequently and I miss you.i hope there is another state once I pass where you and I wander anywhere we desire; a bit like our worldly dreams. I still have the abstract charcoal canvas you created and gave me. This world isnt worth missing my friend and already was clearly to those of us who did reading of actualities never shown on the news. Id put my money on you having a robust time beyong earthly recognition and I truly hope so and miss our random phone calls.

I met Jordan with his dad for Indy 500 time trials, when he was just 10 yrs. old. Even at an early age, with his quick wit and humor he was able to bring smiles and laughter to me, his dad and my son. Thank you Jordan for making a good day, even better for all of us.

Jordan,

You were a kind spirit and it was fun having had a chance to work with you. You made us all laugh. I remember you gave me several model cars and some extra bose speakers you no longer had use for while cleaning out your storage. I insisted on paying you something and you were adamant not to. We settled on a big bag of Jolly Ranchers and laughed about it. I was going to upgrade but think I'll keep them now my friend. Transistion in peace!

Jordan was an amazing young man with the uncanny ability to make light of most situations. He brought smiles to everyone he met. Jordan was, at one time, my patient. His heart stopped beating and we brought him back and within 10 minutes we were joking about it. He had such a zest for life. He is missed and will be until we meet again in heaven.

Jordan had that rare ability to light an entire room with his smile. His presence would turn the most mundane evening into a party. There are so many things to be grateful for, his talent as an artist, his mischievous sense of humour, his wondrous ability to make marvellously expressive faces, his kindness and compassion. Our hearts go out to you on your tragic loss, Jordan was taken far too soon, so many will remember and sorely miss him, Karen and John Watkins (Ralph's parents) Swansea UK
