Arlington, Texas - Marshall "Birddog" Garnette Stone, Jr, 78, passed away peacefully at his home Monday, July 29, 2024. Marshall was born on December 18, 1945 in Charlotte, NC to Marshall Garnette Stone Sr & Bessie Leola Freeman.
He was preceded in death by parents Marshall Garnette Stone Sr & Bessie Leola Freeman Stone, brothers Leslie Bonds Stone, Charles Clifton Lowry, sister Bessie Leola Stone Gainey, daughter Lindsay Rae Stone, & great-granddaughter Addison Reed.
He is survived by his loving wife of almost 50 years Vicky Lois Sperry Stone, daughters Marsha Teri Annette Stone of Savannah, TN, Deirdre Luana Stone Thurmond (Bobby) of Michie, TN, son Erik Shane Stone of Arlington, TX.
He is also survived by 18 grandchildren: Teri, Tamara, Tiffney, Ricki, Marshall, Weedoie, Maurie Anne, Clayton, Icie, Koyto, Toyko; Brandy, Dusty, Dalton; Emily, Makayla; Aaron, Austin; 33 great-grandchildren & many cousins, nieces & nephews.
Celebration of Life will be held September 15, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Wade Funeral Home & Crematory, 4140 West Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, TX 76013, (817) 274-9233. Website: wadefamilyfuneralhome.com.
