Martin, we crossed paths in 1969 while in Vietnam. Although it was brief, I will always remember your friendly smile. Our time together was during perimeter watch in a foxhole or on patrol. After my being wounded and medevac'd, we lost contact. After returning home, I eventually got with Tony Gonzalez who told me he had also lost contact with you. I was recently informed that you had passed away several years ago. It's been nearly 56 years since I last saw you, but I still remember your friendly smile. I'm living back in Texas now, and will make a point to come by your resting place for a long overdue visit my brother. Semper Fi

While serving in Vietnam with Echo Company, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division sometime around May 1969. Martin was assigned to my fireteam to train him. Since he was from Texas also, we became instant friends. We shared many experiences in Vietnam. Left Vietnam and tried for years to find him. Found his obituary online a month too late. Miss him. Martin was a very good friend of mine while at Tech. We took a few classes together as well. He was always a happy go lucky guy with a great personality and a a great sense of presence about himself. He made you feel special being his friend. I am saddened by his passing but will always cherish the friendship we shared. My sincere condolence to his family and loved one.

Always a smile (sometimes kind of sly with a grin!) and since the first grade at Worth Heights, NEVER a hair out of place. RIP brother Marty - see you on the other side.
