My wife, Phyllis, and I met Mike through Lewis & DeDe Stephens at our first visit to the McDavid and saw him pretty much every trip thereafter. Always friendly and a great host. The respect that all the artists showed Mike pretty much summed up how much he was appreciated and loved. I'm glad we had the opportunity to make his acquaintance. To Jeanne and Nancy - I was heart broken to hear that Mike's life with us on this earth was cut way too short. As Johnny Parker's younger sister, I remember "Cotham", as Johnny called him, and when I do, I hear his wonderful laugh. Later in life, I had the good fortune to work with Mike and Jeanne while in real estate in Granbury. Yes, I will remember Cotham...he's gone too soon.
I will keep you in my prayers.

Mike was one of my oldest friends, room mate, and running partner since I was a kid. I have so many fond and happy memories of him. I can still picture him sitting in his chair, tossing a football, and watching the Cowboys on TV. He was a great friend and a good guy. Vaya con Dios, Buddy.

I was introduced to Mike at a McDavid show only a few years ago and at every show I attended thereafter he spoke to me like I was an old friend. I will miss his easy manner and welcoming nature, and his excellent taste in the music he worked to bring to the Fort Worth community. I was fortunate to share a New Year's Eve meal with him as he worked yet another McDavid show and enjoyed his vast knowledge and musical experience that was matched only by his humility. Fort Worth music will never be the same.
I offer my condolences to his family.

The best thing about playing McDavid Studio was sitting at sound check and talking to Mike about mutual friends and music. He was a true renaissance man with a head for numbers and a heart for music and the people that made it. I will miss him and the arts community of Fort Worth will never quite be the same.

Mike was a wonderful friend in the few years I was privileged to know him. I will always remember his quiet way of sharing his enthusiasm for music (and life), and his way of treating everyone with respect. A true gentleman - though not large in physical stature, a giant among men. He will be missed by many.

My condolences to his family.

Mike, my good friend...hope you weren't too surprized to find out when you got there that God loves Rock 'N Roll, too. I'm really going to miss you, but I know I'll see you again in Glory. Jeanne, I pray God's mighty Grace will fill your heart with comfort, and in time, these current heartaches will ease, and wonderful memories of your life with Mike will fill their place. I love you.
