Nelson Eddy "Ed" Pope, 67, of Euless went to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday, Jan. 11, 2010.

He was born May 17, 1942, in Grapevine to Emory and Juanele Jones Pope, who preceded him in death. Ed graduated from L.D. After a few years employment with Container Corp. of America, he went out on his own, Ed Pope & Associates, as a self-employed broker in the packaging industry. He remained in that capacity until his death.
He was known for his jokes, his gift of true friendship, his willingness and desire to help, as well as his knowledge of the industry. He dreamed of having time to devote to his love of fishing and being able to apply what he read in the financial publications he enjoyed reading.
Ed and Bonita were active in St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Hurst, where they enjoyed and were blessed with spiritual and emotional support and a bonding friendship with many.
Survivors: His wife, Bonita Bower Herr Pope; sons, Greg (grandson, Cameron) and Kris; daughter, Cindy; stepsons, Phillip M. Herr (Jackie) and John S. Ed was a servant of the Lord. His life and actions, love and compassion was available to all to all who needed to receive any or all. I am so happy to have been a part of his earthly life.

Bonita dear,

It has been two very difficult and short months. And now that has passed.
What a wonderful 'Celebration of Life' for your angel at St. Stephens on Saturday, January the 16th. It was simply beautiful, and very appropriate for a very wonderful man. You were
blessed. You are on a new journey now,
and you will prosper as you always do,
because you are a giver...and you will continue to reap what you have always sown: Love.

Let's give each other time to mourn, and it will take time...
The good Lord will help all of us, as
He always does.

Love,
Suzie

Bonita,
Please accept our sincerest condolences on Ed's passing to the Pope and Herr families.

It is so sad that this day has come, and that it came so quickly from that first trip to the hospital. We are lucky to have known and chatted with you and Ed as neighbors and friends over the last few years. Ed always had a knowledge of what was going on in the world and easily expressed his views and opinions. We enjoyed our dinners together and will miss them.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Love, Bob and Carolyn Lopez
