Richard Guppy Obituary

Richard E. Guppy, 72, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, in Arlington. Funeral: 1 p.m. Saturday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Richard was born Jan. 26, 1941, in Grand Rapids, Mich., to James Arthur Guppy and Virgil Lattimer Guppy. He retired from General Motors after 30 years of service in Los Angeles, Calif., and Arlington (UAW rep). Richard was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald Guppy Sr.; and nephews, Donald Guppy Jr. and Donnie Guppy. Survivors: Wife of 45 years, Ida Ortiz Guppy; children, James, Andrea, Rick, Theresa, Martin and Vita; six grandchildren; brother, Bruce Guppy, and wife, Christy; and sister, Judy Jennings, and husband, Willard.
