My name is Wende Phillips ... I believe I knew Bob in Las Vegas in the 1980s., he was friends many including myself and my sister Tami who went to Chaparral High school. He was a couple years older than me. We were all a small group who ran together, loved Judas Priest, including Chuck and his you get sister Tiffeny Brophy. Is this possibly the same Bob Jones?
2/2/20- 49ERS at the Super Bowl!! We hope they win today for you BOB!!

I met Bob in "93 just before Terra was born, had fun anytime he was around. Anytime we discuss him we always say Bungee Bob. I haven't seen him in quite a few years but I smile when I think of him, you will be missed Bob.

A Smile, Like the Sun
(for Bob...R.I.P)
Like cherry blossoms
that fall too soon,
you fade into stars
of an August moon,
but, your love still sparkles
in branches left behind
beautiful shades of blue;
these ties that bind
like poetry, flowing sun
in yellow and gold
shimmering memories
for our hearts to hold.

I loved (love) Bob like a brother, genuinely... Easily one of my top 5 favorite people I've ever known! Sincere condolences to his family and other friends. I'm heartbroken...
I was 'Uncle Bob's' neighbor in Arlington from '98 - '01. My wife and I had bought our first home after moving from MO, graduating college and getting married. Not necessarily in that order... Anyway, the little starter home was across the street from Bob and his family. The very first day we moved in I couldn't get the corroded washer & dryer hoses off of the 'spigots.' I didn't know anyone in the neighborhood but wasn't shy either, I knocked on Bob's door. I introduced myself, explained my problem (which he welcomed w/ open arms) and over he came w/ nothing more than a hacksaw and a pair of needle nose pliers. Now, I'm not exactly a slouch when it comes to handyman work and know my way around a tool or two. I thought, this guy is nuts!!! He started cutting away on the metal part of the hoses that was corroded onto the threads. I thought, what and the hell is this guy doing! This is my first day in my first home!!! A minute later he had cut just far enough to where he could use the pliers to peel those metal parts off like he was opening a cheap can of sardines. I said to myself, I'll be damned, THIS GUY IS A GENIUS!!! We had instantly bonded and remained super close friends.
I'm 6'5" and would take small appliances off of the kitchen counter and put them on top of the kitchen cabinets and not tell him. HE'd GET SO PISSED (in a jovial way)! It was hilarious... You know him, he needed a step stool to open the refrigerator.
When we were neighbors in Arlington we'd play darts in the garage (on school nights even) till the wee hours. The goal was to someday get three bullseyes in a row. There was a big throw rug on the floor, a KILLER stereo and an adult tricycle frame hanging from the ceiling. Kramer & Twitch (sp???) were on in the evenings, Mandatory Metallica every night at 11:00. We'd pull the retractable extension cord down from the garage ceiling and act as if it were a microphone inside the ring of a heavyweight bout. Hands down some of the favorite moments of my life.
