Ryan Young Obituary
Funeral: 1 p.m. Saturday at Edgewood Terrace Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3417 Sydney Street. Burial: Private. Visitation: 1 to 8 p.m. Friday at historic Baker Funeral Home.
Ryan Aarron Young, my beloved son, graduated with honors from O.D. Wyatt High School in 1997 and received a bachelor's degree from Tarleton State University, May 11, 2002. He taught agriculture in the Denton, Wharton and Garland school districts. Ryan was affiliated with several professional organizations. He was a "real awesome cowboy" who loved horses and rodeos.
His father, R.A. Young, preceded him in death.
Survivors: He is cherished forever in memory by his devoted mother, Valarie Hunt Young; brother, Raillan Young (Jessica); nephew, Remington Young, all of League City; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George C. Hunt of Fort Worth; many uncles, aunts, cousins, other family members; and a vast number of students and friends.

Mrs. Valerie, Raillan, Mrs. Hunt, & all the bereaved family of Ryan:
During this time I express my deepest sympathy and will continue to extend my heart filled prayers. As I have experienced losing a close loved one, I find comfort in the scripture that I began this entry with. Only God can sustain us during these times. Continue to lean on family, close friends and last but not least fall on your bended knees to the father who shall supply all, give the most encouragement, and carry you when you feel as though you can't go on.
On behalf of LaKeisha Renee, (my cousin also), I gave my hugs and love to you all in her absence and just find strength in knowing that Ryan is in the best place and get to know the mighty Jesus personally so that you can join him again someday....

I worked with Valerie years ago when she gave birth to her to boys. She loved and raised them in that love and respect that she and her husband believed and lived. Dear Mrs Young,
We are so sorry for your loss. My sons Patrick and Justin Peachee were seniors last year at South Garland and were active in the FFA. Mr Young always impressed me as having the youth in his classes and the FFA's best interest always in mind. He worked very hard to make sure the students could make the most of their time in the FFA. He will be missed.

Mr. Young not only impacted my daughter, Karen but myself as well. We both remember fondly the many times he imparted his knowledge, from the birthing of our pigs to the importance of grass on a ranch, we will treasure his short time with us. Family and friends of Mr. Young, I am one of his students. I dont like to say 'was' because I still am and always will be one of his students. I will miss him as long as I live. He had a very deep impression on our FFA and our school. A fun man to be around. Always making us laugh, at him or with him, it didnt matter. I will keep the knowledge he gave to us in my mind and cherish his presence in my life even though it was a short meeting, he will always be with us, in our hearts. We loved him and he loved us. We could tell with all the teasing he poked at us. Heh, I am so sad he left so early as are you, but try to remember the laughter and the fun times you have shared. that is how we are getting by, laughing and smiling, and even crying while we laugh. i hope you can still smile like we can.

Ryan, my dear young cousin, more of a nelphw than a cousin, we will miss you dearly. The smile of a prince and the handshake of a strong young man. We are not being egotisgical when we mourn your death. Your passing is finality to your life but not to your living. We will remember how your lived and loved life. Ryan and I have spent many years together, laughing, crying, travelling and learing to understand and completely trust each other. We shared everything together. I loved him with all my heart and always will. I miss him so much. To his family you had the most caring, loving man that a person could have the opportunity to meet and know. Our family would like to send to yours our deepest condolences and sorrow for this loss. Mr. Young was a teacher to both of my sons at South Garland High School. Shawn and him really seemed to get along well. When Mr. Young found out that Shawn was going to attend Tarleton in the Fall he passed on his wisdom and really put Shawns fears to rest. He was more than a teacher, he became a friend.
