Memorial service: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at The Church of Burleson.
Survivors: Husband, Todd Hecht of Burleson; son, David Bentley of Weatherford; stepdaughter, Davi Hecht of Arlington; parents, David and Maria Smith of Weatherford; sister, Rhonda Podschelne of Millersview; grandsons, Jayden Michael and Adam Keith; various nieces, nephews, cousins; and a host of relatives and friends.

You were very blessed to have such an amazing daughter. I had so much fun sitting up laughing and talking until the morning hours at Carolyn's. I will never forget her she was a great lady and will forever be in my heart.

From the moment I first met Sandy we just connected with each other. I loved her as a sister. She was a beautiful person and I am so thankful I had three years with her. I haven't seen Sandy in years, but I remember her well and the thing I remember most is that she was always happy giggly and a good friend..a true ray of sunshine in our midst. Maria and family,
You are in my prayers. Sandy was a special lady. You guys lit a candle for me while I was going through my cancer. She gave me great strength when she talked to me. She was a beautiful person and one of the strongest people I know. I know the pain of losing her is great, but hopefully knowing she is no longer in pain and so "sick and tired" anymore will help. Aunt Carolyn gave me this web site and I'm thankful I was able to share what Sandy meant to me. My prayers are with you all.

Sandy, I love you and miss you. We have been friends since I was 10, I just can't imagine you not being here. You are the strongest person I know and will probably ever meet. Sandy had a very beautiful memorial service today, Brian asked that I send you his regards. I thought today was going be a sad day but it turned out to be a day for joy just kowing Sandy is no longer in pain but in the loving arms of God. That thought alone, fills my heart with happiness for her.
