I served in the Texas House with Bill, from Tarrant County, and I am a better person for having known him and learned from him. He knew the issues, he had integrity, and we listened to him when he got up to speak on an issue. His sense of humor diffused many a tense situation.
We join the family and his many friends and former students in mourning the passing of this great Texan.

I was honored to work for Mr. Coody in the mid-70s as his administrative assistant in the Texas House of Representatives. His infectious smile and sense of humor made him very special, to me and so many others. He will be missed, but NEVER forgotten. John Beatty
