Alean June Tope

TOPE Alean June (Greene) Tope, 86, died Thursday, August 16, 2012 at the Laurels of Worthington following a brief illness. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents James and Gertrude Greene, her husband of 55 years Willard P. Tope and two granddaughters Sherrie Ann Tope and Julie Anne Popovich. She was one of 14 children and two of them survive. She is survived by four children, James of St. Louis, Missouri, Terry (Darlene) of Grove City, Ohio, Mark (Sue) of Snow Camp, North Carolina and Peggy White (Timothy) of Baltimore, Ohio. She is survived by eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She has countless nieces and nephews. She is survived by two dear friends, Virginia (Ginny) Dennis and Alice Collins. Alean was a home maker, and was employed by the Department of Taxation. Alean was known for her laughter and sense of humor. Friends may call at the JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME, 2693 W. Broad St., Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., with the Funeral Service Wednesday at 10 a.m. Rev. Mark Tope and Roger Howard presiding. Interment Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, Ohio.
