Alice Heaton, age 95, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2021 in Columbus, OH. Alice was born in Boonton, New Jersey, on December 9, 1925 to Virginia and Frank Charlton. She was a proud graduate of Boonton High School. She met her husband, Ward, when they both worked at Bell Labs in Whippany, New Jersey. They were married in 1957 and resided in New Jersey and Indianapolis, Indiana, before settling in Worthington, Ohio. Over the years Alice made many good friends through her volunteer work with various organizations, such as the American Cancer Society, the NNEMAP Food Pantry, and the Worthington Presbyterian Church, where she was a member for 44 years. She also belonged to several women's groups including Presbyterian Women, 35 Plus and PEO. In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her husband Ward. She is survived by her children, Cyndie Kleshock (Mark) of Phoenix, AZ, Don Heaton of Worthington, OH, Jeanne Good (Doug) of Austin, TX; and five wonderful grandchildren, Jaimie Kleshock and Andrew Kleshock of Phoenix, AZ, and Elizabeth Good, Matthew Good and Ryan Good of Austin, TX. She is also survived by her brothers, Lloyd Charlton (Terry) of Rockaway Twp., NJ, and Jack Charlton (Barbara) of Long Branch, NJ; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Once the COVID-19 pandemic ends, the family is planning a memorial service in New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her honor to the NNEMAP Food Pantry.
