To Eric and Ben and to my cousins Carl and George and their families:
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Louise's courage and dedication to life was wondrous to watch and share. Sue and I wish we could have visited with her one more time in our annual trip to Ohio, but both of us did recently receive letters from Louise, and we will cherish those with fond, warm memories.
Because we could not be there to say farewell to Louise, I am including here what has become a traditional poem read at our family funerals:
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am the thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die.
Much love, Carol

Dear Eric and Ben,
I will always treasure the moments I spent with Allie. She was more of a sister to me than a sister-in-law, and I will miss her big sister advice.
Love,
Audrey

Eric
and Ben,
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
Allie was a wonderful person and a true heroine in her battle with cancer.
I am sure all that was wonderful about her will remain with you both, forever!
