Anna Flinn Obituary

FLINN Anna Jean (McCarty) Flinn was born on December 2, 1925 in Salyersville, Kentucky and departed this life on May 6, 2006 in Miami, Florida. Anna was the daughter of the late Lonnie and Maudie McCarty. On June 29, 1944, Anna was united in marriage to the late Robert B. Flinn in Baltimore, Maryland. They met during World War II in Washington D.C. where she was working for the United States Coast Guard and Bob was serving in the United States Navy. To this union, three children were born: Jerri N. Flinn, Robert E. Flinn and Alan L. Flinn, all of Miami, Florida. Anna's most enjoyable moments were spent with her husband, children and grandchildren. She was always there for them, listening and encouraging them in every way. Her kindness, love and support will never be forgotten. Her loving ways, bright eyes, smile and laughter always brought sunshine into their lives. Anna never joined any church, yet her faith remained true in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She prayed for guidance and understanding and enjoyed hearing the old time gospel songs. Anna leaves to mourn her loss one daughter, Jerri; two sons, Robert and Alan; two daughters-in-law, Lourdes and Ricca; four grandchildren, William, Blair, Natalie and Joel; and one sister, Geraldine McCarty, all of Miami, Florida. She also leaves behind two sisters-in-law, Ruby Dailey of Belfair, Washington and Leona Flynn of Marquette, Michigan; and many loving cousins and friends. Our loss is Heaven's gain and we will truly miss our Mom, Nana, and sweet little sister. She was always an Angel on Earth to us. Calling hours 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the SCHOEDINGER NORRIS CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, where her funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, May 11, 2006. Burial will follow at Galloway Cemetery. Please visit www.schoedinger.com to send email condolences to her family.
