Armando Gastaldo Obituary

Gastaldo Armando Peter Gastaldo, age 92, entered the Gates of Heaven on May 16, 2017. He was born March 18, 1925. He is survived by his adoring wife, Elinda L. Gastaldo; children, Marcia Gastaldo, Rita (Brian) Herzberger, Philip (Mary Ann) Gastaldo, Elaine Gastaldo, Paula (John) Kitsmiller, Stephen (Rita) Gastaldo, Anita Gastaldo (Jim), Antoinette (Alex) Stadler, Andrea (Calvin) Green, Jeffrey (Dana) Compton, Brian (Melissa) Compton and Chad (Beth) Compton; 26 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; siblings, Ede Willoughby and Adolfo (Roberta); sisters-in-law, Evelyn Liebert and Gloria Gastaldo; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Lorenzo and Francesca, great-granddaughter Maggie Beth, brothers Corado and Vincenzo Gastaldo. He was a WW II Veteran -Naval Construction Battalian "CB" and a member of The Sons of Italy, The Guild Athletic Club and St. John The Baptist Italian Catholic Church. His family will receive friends on Friday, May 19, 2017, from 4-8 p.m., at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 West Fifth Avenue, Columbus. Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Saturday, May 20, 2017 at St. John the Baptist Italian Catholic Church, 720 Hamlet Street (Italian Village). Condolences may be sent via www.johnquint.com. ALL ARE ASKED TO MEET AT THE CHURCH FOR HIS FUNERAL MASS.

My deepest thoughts are with the family.
Mr. Gastaldo had many beautiful and wonderful children and many grandchildren. He had a blessed life. I know Rita from Whitehall Yearling H.S. and many years in card club Prayers to all of the family for strength and faith at this time. Jeanne Winegardner
