To the family of Austin,
We send our condolenses. Our story with your Dad is this:
He shared his talents of baseball with our family and teammates..he gave a lot of his time and talent to teaching the young baseball players. He gave back!
We are so sorry for your loss..even though we haven't met you he spoke of you often and loved you with all his heart!
Austin was taken from this earth way too soon. Bless him for all his generous time he gave freely to helping develop baseball players. He made an impact on those he helped.
As parents of one he helped..Thank You Austin!! It made a difference!!!!
Also Austin...we love you and you were a blast to be around!
Blessings to the family- he cherished you dearly--God bless.

I am truly saddened by the loss of someone for so many years I idolized and revered. Even though we drifted in different directions, My love for him never wavered, nor do I think his love for me never wavered. May God look after you.

Austin's Family & Friends,
It's with a heavy heart and a tear in my eye that I thank you for sharing Austin with me for the past twenty-five years. (What a long strange trip it's been!)
While talking to God this morning, I had this vision of Austin standing at the Pearly Gates wearing his suit, briefcase in hand, (not a hair out of place). When Saint Peter opens the gates Austin turned and said, “What? SOoooo, it took 65 years, but I'm here now”.
St. Peter takes the briefcase and leads Austin down a big cathedral hallway with beautiful marble floors and a bright light at the end. They pass a mop bucket and an auto scrubber with “Austin Cornel” inscribed in the handle. St. Peter just smiles and they continue down the hall. They come to a large window, and for as far as Austin can see there are ball diamonds and back stops full of young men learning to play baseball, St. Pete smiles again.
Austin's curiosity is killing him so he asks St. Pete if this is Heaven. St. Pete tells him that God knows how he can't sit still for more that four minutes, so he placed him in the part of Heaven where he can spend his days coaching and mentoring young men, and cleaning the marble floors while he sleep walks at night. Austin gets a big smile on his face and turns to St. Pet, but he is gone. He turns and looks at me with that big smile and says, “Tell my family, friends, and especially my grandsons that I got invited to a birthday party next week for Jesus, and that I'm watching over them from here in Heaven”.
Unfortunately, I'm not able to attend the services on Tuesday were we could swap stories. When I told Austin this, he responded with “SOoooo who gives a rats …..” Typical, right?
AUSTIN,
I say this with all the LOVE in my Heart – THANK YOU! , for without your friendship I would not be the man I am today.

Austin,

You were one of a kind and my family has been lucky to have you in our lives.

I can not express my thoughts any better than the words my son shared with you last week "You taught not only me but all of us how to
be better men and to have our priorities straight."

Not goodbye, but see you later,

In the faith that I was Baptized - Macedonian Orthodox, we light a candel for the living and the deceased. I am lighting a candle for you Austin, you were a special friend and I miss my neighbor. It is strange not seeing you next door and you huge smile. Your candle will burn forever. God is Great and you are in a much better place than us now. Peace with you forever now.
