Brian Scritchfield Obituary

Scritchfield Brian K. Scritchfield. A service celebrating the life of Brian K. Scritchfield will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 1, 2015, at the Spring Hills Baptist Church, 1820 Newark-Granville Rd., Granville, Pastor Tom Pound will officiate. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m., on Thursday, April 30, 2015, at Spring Hills Baptist Church. Brian, 49, of Granville, passed away Friday, April 24, 2015, at Madison Health Hospital in London. He was born July 15, 1965, in Cumberland, Maryland, a son of Edward Scritchfield of Hyndman, Pennsylvania and the late Ellen (Wenrich) Scritchfield. He was a 1983 graduate of Hyndman High School, a 1986 graduate of DeVry University and was an Information Security Officer for Fiserv in Dublin. Brian was a BMW motorcycle enthusiast; always looking forward to annual road trips with his friends to the southern United States, especially North Carolina or to the western US. He also enjoyed organizing bicycle trips with friends and his daughter Emma. His wintertime hobby was woodworking. He was a member of Spring Hills Baptist Church. Surviving, in addition to his father, are his wife, Julie A. (Folk) Scritchfield; his son, Jason Scritchfield of Granville; daughter, Emma Jane Scritchfield of the home; brother, Gerald E. (Julie) Scritchfield of Hyndman, Pennsylvania, and their children Rhiannon and Nathaniel; sister, Beth (David) Divelbiss of Alderson, West Virginia and their son, Caleb and his mother-in-law, Brenda Folk of Six Mile Run, Pennsylvania. In addition to his mother, his father-in-law John Folk preceded him in death. Memorial contributions may be made to the Celebrate Recovery Program, c/o Spring Hills Baptist Church, 1820 Newark-Granville Road, Granville, Ohio 43023. Envelopes will be available at the church.
