As we celebrate the life of Charles E. Shanklin, we offer our sincere condolences to the Shanklin family.
We all meet that one person in our lifetime who makes an ever lasting impression upon us. The "Chairman" was that person to us. While many will remember Mr. Shanklin for the many business successes in his lifetime, we will remember him for the generous, loving and caring friend that he was. We are thankful that we had the opportunity to have had him make touch and bless our lives. We will greatly miss you.

Mrs. Shanklin and The Shanklin Family,
It's hard for us to find the words that might bring you comfort at this time of loss but, perhaps just knowing that we are thinking of you with sympathy and understanding will somehow help. To the Shanklin family. We have all lost a very special person. I met Chuck, Sr. and most of the immediate family in the early 90s at Crestview. He leaves a legacy that sets historic levels. May God bless each and every one of you.

Mrs. Shanklin, Tom & Myra, and all the family: I want to express my condolences at your loss. While I was only priveleged to meet Mr. Shanklin a few times, I knew of his integrity and his great love for his family. He and his beatiful wife have to be two of the most pleasant, loving, real people I have ever had the pleasure of talking to. I always enjoyed our conversations. I will keep you all in my heart and in my prayers daily. God has already blessed you all tremendously by having such a wonderful earthly father, and I know He will continue to bless you in the days to come as you relive all the fond memories. May God wrap His loving arms of Grace and Mercy around each of you while you traverse this time of grief and bring you to a place of Peace and Comfort in the knowledge of His wonderful Love.

To Aunt Bernice and family,
On behalf of my family and myself,
I wish to express our deepest sympathy at the passing of Uncle Chuck. We are all very blessed to have known him. I will always cherish the fond memories and laughter we've shared. His greatest gift to all of us was of himself, one to which we will all treasure forever. May God bless you and your family. May He give you strength in this time of sorrow.

Mrs. Shanklin and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Shanklin's passing. I have fond memories of him.
I remember whenever he took Janet and I anywhere, we would be horrified by the classical music he listened to in the car.
I remember how much he loved popcorn each night--even the burnt kernels.
I remember his youngest daughter being so proud of her dad.
I remember him yelling at Fairbanks football games saying "...that's my Tom..."
I remember that he always complimented his wife's cooking.
I remember him being so proud at Janet's Jr. Miss Pageant.
I remember a firm pat on the back and a hearty "How are ya, Janet?"
I remember a somber, yet thankful Dad after a car wreck.
I remember a grieving Dad in November.
He grieves no more.
Rest in Peace "Mr. Shanklin"

My deepest sympathy to you, Aunt Berniece, and your children and their families, for the loss of your beloved husband and father. The memories that I have are those that my Mom and Dad passed on to me of all the wonderful times that you shared together. Those times brought a tremendous amount of joy to my parents and therefore to me as well. God bless you and give you strength at this time of loss.

To the Shanklin family:
I never had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Shanklin, but I knew him through his son, Chuck, and their company, Artais. Artais was led with great integrity and great business acumen, and our relationship was one of mutual respect. I learned a great deal about management, entrepreneurship, and business friendships through this relationship, and I knew that this was due in large part to the leadersip and personal integrity of Mr. Shanklin. His family values and those of his son Chuck extended to his business and made his ventures not only successful but great places to work. I am sure that he will be greatly missed by his family and friends. I pray for God's peace to all who knew and loved him.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Charles "Chuck" Shanklin. Chuck was an outstanding man, both professionally and personally, and we were honored to have known him. He left a strong impression in his relationships to his friends, and he will be missed very much.
He was always willing to help when asked to volunteer his time or resources to a worthy cause. All of his friends benefited from his kind demeanor and open personality.
We will miss you, Chuck.

Fortunate are those in life who meet someone who makes a deep, positive and lasting impression. I am proud to say that Mr. Shanklin was such a person in my life. He hired me at age 18 to be his secretary at George, Greek, King and McMahon. Though he was a busy attorney,he saw our family had a need as my father had just passed away and he hired me,inexperienced. He was an example to all in that law firm as to how to be a devout man of God. His moral character was impeccable and it was a pleasure to observe him as a husband, father and lawyer/businessman. This world would be a much better place if all of us followed his example. How fortunate is his family to have had him in their lives. I am sorry for his family's sadness yet happy that they have such comforting memories of him.

The Shanklin Family,
I'm sad to hear about Mr Shanklin, he was truely one of the GOOD guys.
I had the pleasure of working at Crestview Aerospace for the family for over 5 years. He and the family made everyone fill like they where part of his family.
It was not unusual to see him in the work areas shaking hands and thanking you personlly for the job you where doing, This meant alot to everyone.
This is just a small way he touched so many and he will be missed by all that had the pleasure to know him.
