David was a passionate advocate who always had the residential consumer in mind. He was admired greatly by everyone who learned from him about law and the regulatory world. My deepest condolences to his family - David was so loyal to his clients and coworkers throughout his dedicated career - we will all miss him!

David and I have worked together on and off spanning 40 years. I appreciated his good humor, intelligence and his support. He was passionate about his work and deeply respected for all that he did representing consumers on telephone issues and consumer complaints. None surpassed Dave in his knowledge and work on creating a fair telecommunication system on a local and national level and ensuring that all customers had universal service. He was a champion and we have all lost a giant. My sincere sympathy to Linda, Zarah and Ren.

I first met David when I started my career in public utility regulation back in the 1970's. I remember him as extremely dedicated, thoughtful, passionate in his beliefs and always of good cheer.

Working with Dave at Consumers' Counsel was a joy. Each time I got to work with him made the day brighter. I will miss his humor and will toast a beer in his honor.
