1949 - 2018
David William Gedeon made his way to the light on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, after losing his battle with leukemia. Born April 16, 1949, in Medina, OH, he grew up in North Royalton, OH. After traveling in his 20's, he settled in the Columbus area, where he lived the rest of his life. David was part owner of G & W Construction, which operated in the Columbus area. He was an active member of the Columbus Ski Club. He participated in ski trips, volleyball, and softball with that organization. He learned his love of working on motors from his father, William, who he joined in Paradise. He is survived by his mother, Alma (nee VanDeusen) Gedeon; sisters, Cyndy Liptak, Barbara Gedeon; and brother, Eric Gedeon; four nieces and two nephews. He was preceded in glory by his sister Amy Carter, only two months earlier. The family suggests donations be made in David's name to The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society, https://donate.lls.org/lls/donate. I grew up with Dave going through school from about 4th grade on through high-school and roomed with him freshman year at Ohio University He was probably my closest friend till that point . He was smart , witty and honest and loyal and a great athlete . We played countless touch football games . I was the QB and he was my favorite receiver He attended my wedding in 1975. Last time i saw him I believe was in 1976 or 1977 . I regret we didn't stay in touch. I didnt become aware of his death til yesterday Feb 15 2020 May He rest in peace Dale Janovsky
