A year has gone by and it still doesn't feel real. I keep wanting to pick the phone up and call you or stop by to see you. It still feel like I should be able to do that. Time has passed by my love for you remains the same. I miss you so much. I never imagined a time when I would be in this world without you. Now it just seem like a smaller place to live in without you. I want to talk to you, see you. Take back all the bad and replace them with good. I realize the good with bad made us to be who we were to each other. Sometime when I think of you I can't breath. I can't believe your gone. I thank God for the beautiful likeness of you I get to look at every day. She is the way I always see you. She is so much like you. I know you are watching over us. I will take care of your precious daughter and will make sure she never forget how much you love her. Time must go on and you will go on with us in our hearts. I love you and miss you.

My condolences to Wilma and family. May god ease your pain and carry you through this difficult time. Derrick was a beautiful man with a beautiful spirit. He always said Hello How are you today? That always put a smile on my face. Even the days he probably did'nt feel up to holding a conversation he did anyway. He was a true angel. Please continue to smile down on us. Rest In Peace Angel!

Mrs Willa Barron please accept my deepest sympathy on the passing of Derrick. I remeber when you all came to Clark Road M.B. Church and Derrick was going to school with me at Roosevelt High School. Derrick truly had the gift to make people laugh. He will be missed.

May you now be able to rest peacefully free from pain & know that your friends & family will be ok because, we all had the PLEASURE of knowing you. You were the most honest person I've ever known. Whether it be good or bad you told it like it was. That's what I loved most about you. God bless your family & children. Gone too soon. Man we had some fun and wild times. You were the most upfront and honest brother I ever met. Not a bad bone in you. Great spirit, and always optimistic. By far the most comical and funniest cat I know. Me & my family miss you. But you are gonna live on thru us, as we will always speak highly of our heartfelt times together and the way you made us smile & laugh. You were my best friend. I Love you bro, and salute your legacy as a good man that gave his all. Bless your family, child, and spirit.
